How to Play

1. Set up:

All players should be seated in a circle around a table. Everyone should be seated in a way where they can reach the center of the table. Each player starts with 10 cards dealt to them face down. NO PEEKING.

If a player is caught looking at a card before their turn at any point throughout the game, they forfeit their turn and are forced to collect the pile from the middle of the table. If there is not a pile to collect, the player should still forfeit their turn.

2. Movement/gameplay:

The person who was most recently stung by a bee should be the first to start.

The game starts when the first person places a card face up from their hand into the center of the table. As they are flipping the card over, they must read the card aloud. NO pausing or hesitating, read the card as fast as you can. Any hesitation should result in the loss of your turn and the collection of the pile from the center. After their card is down, the player to their left flips a card from their hand, reads it aloud and places it on top of the previous card. This continues until someone messes up.

If a person mispronounces or reads the incorrect color, they must collect all the cards from the pile in the middle of the table, and the play continues with the person to their left.

3. How to Read color cards:

If the card is colored, you must say the color the word on the card is printed in.

FOR EXAMPLE: if the card is BLUE and the word on the card is “RED” and it is printed in the color YELLOW, you must say “yellow”. All you have to do is say the color the word is printed in.

4. How to Read white cards:

If you place a white card down, you must read the word on the card. The color that the word is printed in does not matter. All you have to do is read the word on the card.

FOR EXAMPLE: if the card is WHITE and the word on the card is “BLUE” and it is printed in the color RED, you must say “blue”.

Some Example cards:

5. Special “BEE” cards:

The only special cards in the deck are BEE cards. When a BEE card is placed in the middle of the table, everyone playing must slap the card. Not one by one, but all at once. All of your hands will end up stacked on top of one another.

The person whose hand is on top of the stack (the person who reacted last) has to collect the entire pile underneath. These cards look normal but have an angry bee over the word on the card, so pay attention and DON’T BEE LAST!

6. Extra Rules:

If any player slaps a card that is not a BEE card, hesitates, stumbles or mispronounces a word AT ALL, they have to collect the pile. FOR EXAMPLE: if the correct way to read the card is “yellow” and the person says “rayellow” (mistakenly merging red and yellow together), they have to collect all of the cards.

The first person to get rid of all of their cards wins. The game should then restart by shuffling the cards and re-dealing.
